
REGULATION – POP SINGING
1. Introduction to the discipline
The Pop Singing competition involves the live performance of Italian or international songs, both published and unpublished.
The aim is to enhance the natural voice and stage presence of the participants, through an authentic live performance.
2. Allowed categories
Age groups:

Mini: 8–9 years

Youth: 10–12 years

Junior: 13–16 years

Adults: 17–25 years

Senior: 25+

Sub-categories per age group:

Solo – max 2:30 minutes

Duets and Trios – max 3:00 minutes

Choir Groups – 4 to 12 participants
3. Technical requirements

Live singing is mandatory, using the handheld microphone provided by the organization

Playback is not allowed, not even partially (e.g., backing track with pre-recorded voice)

Accepted styles include: Pop, Rock, Metal, Dance, Rap

The use of autotune or similar voice-altering software is strictly prohibited
-
A light reverb may be applied by the Artistic Direction if needed

Live instrumental self-accompaniment is not allowed
-
Participants must use a high-quality instrumental backing track

Pre-recorded backing vocals are allowed within the instrumental base
REGULATION – CHORAL SINGING
Participation
The Choral Singing category is open to ensembles composed of a minimum of 4 participants.
Performance and Repertoire

Each performance must have a maximum duration of 4 minutes.

The piece may belong to any musical repertoire (operatic, rock, pop, folk, etc.).

A maximum of 2 soloists may perform, accompanied by the choir.

It is permitted to present pieces not originally written for choir, provided they are rearranged for choral performance.
Musical Accompaniment
-
Performances may be executed a cappella or with a pre-recorded musical backing track.

The track must be of high audio quality and must not contain pre-recorded choirs or backing vocals.
Categories

Children’s Voices: up to 14 years old.

Adults: 14 years and older.
