Paola Vezzosi

Choreographer, dancer, director and author of dance-theatre performances, she has been the co-artistic director of ADARTE since its foundation. After a classical training, she specialized in contemporary dance thanks to her encounter with Carolyn Carlson, who admitted her to the Accademia Isola Danza – Venice Biennale, where she trained with international masters and began her career as a choreographer.
As a performer, she has worked with internationally renowned choreographers including Susanne Linke and Urs Dietrich. In 2009 she won first prize at the Danz’è – Oriente Occidente choreographic competition with Penelope. Canti d’attesa, which marked the beginning of collaborations with the festival and with major Italian theatre and opera institutions, including the Fondazione Arena di Verona, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Fondazione Teatro della Toscana.
She is the creator and artistic director of MOST – Moving Stories Festival, a showcase that weaves together dance and literature, and in 2023 she co-directed GO TOWARDS, an international project for the mobility of Italian companies. Her choreographic research is distinguished by the encounter between body language, narrative and visual poetry, with a particular focus on creative processes and the contemporary stage.
