Giuliana Martinello, an eclectic choreographer and dance teacher, was born into a family of dancers.
She began studying classical dance at the age of five, later continuing her training in Modern and Contemporary Dance with Roberta Riccoboni (Mudra by Béjart, Mary Wigman, Martha Graham) and with the Italian-American master Wes Howard, dancer with the Merce Cunningham Company in New York and director of the Contemporary Dance Academy in Toulouse, France.
As a professional dancer, she performed with the dance companies A.N.D.A. in Padua and F.I.O.R.I. Body Action Art in Toulouse. Her career as a dancer has been marked by constant innovation and continuous international training in New York, Paris, and London.
Her artistic talent has been enriched by numerous performances and choreographic interpretations—first as a dancer and later as a choreographer—of works by major figures in American modern dance such as Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham, Horton, Alvin Ailey, Matt Mattox, Limón, and Luigi.
She developed a unique approach to exploring the relationship between dance, music, and other art forms, collaborating with institutions, universities, renowned artists, and television networks.
She has trained high-level athletes in academic dance, members of the Italian Dance Sport Federation (F.I.D.S.), who have participated in European and World Championships.
