Monica Boschetti

Opera Singer, Pianist, and Vocal Instructor

Monica Boschetti began studying piano at a very young age, later combining her musical education with composition. 

After graduating, she developed a passion for opera singing, which became her primary form of artistic expression. 

Always actively involved in social initiatives, she discovered a true vocation in music education, teaching, and 

cultural outreach.

She refined her piano studies at the G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, graduating in piano in 1999 and in opera singing 

in 2009 with the highest honors, under the guidance of Maestro Bruno Bizzarri and mezzo-soprano Evghenia Dundekova, respectively.

She further developed her piano skills with Patrizia Garganese, Michele Marvulli, Gianni Fabbrini, and Paola Bruni. 

Following her vocal diploma, she continued her advanced training with Evghenia Dundekova, Robleto Merolla, 

Liudmila Gherova, Ewa Iżykowska, and Bruno Praticò.

Her academic and artistic journey has been enriched by participation in prestigious international competitions. 

In 2009, she was a finalist at the Renata Tebaldi International Competition in San Marino. In 2011, she won First 

Prize Overall at the CIMP International Competition in Pesaro, and in 2012, she received the prestigious Vittorio 

Virgili Award at the Canto Festival in Amandola.

Throughout her career, she has had the honor of performing under the direction of renowned conductors, i

ncluding F. M. Bressan, D. Krief, M. Benzi, J. Rivani, F. M. Caramazza, P. Veleno, R. Parmeggiani, 

C. Morganti, L. Ferrara, A. Ciavatta, and M. Berdondini.

Her operatic repertoire includes prominent roles such as Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana, Violetta in La 

Traviata, Leonora in Il Trovatore, Berta in The Barber of Seville, one of the three female voices in Janáček’s 

The Diary of One Who Disappeared, Elena in Gluck’s Paride ed Elena, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, and 

the title role in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, a production she also directed.

She also boasts an extensive repertoire of sacred music, both orchestral and chamber, including Mozart’s 

Requiem, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, César Franck’s Solemn Mass, several 

masses by Schubert, and Amintore Galli’s Messa Pacis, which she performed and recorded in 2011 at the 

Basilica of Santa Colomba in Rimini under the direction of Maestro F. M. Caramazza.

Her discography includes three chamber music recordings, one of which, dedicated to Respighi’s chamber songs, 

is scheduled for release as part of the Respighi Festival in Bologna.

For the Tactus record label, she recorded Lirica da camera su testi di Pascoli, Carducci, Panzini, Moretti, 

alongside pianist Pia Zanca and baritone Omar Montanari, as well as an album featuring world-premiere recordings of works by Zannucoli, with pianist Paolo Biondi and cellist Alberto Casadei.

She has worked as a collaborative pianist and vocal coach for the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro and the 

Rossini Opera Festival, contributing to productions alongside internationally renowned conductors and stage 

directors, including A. Zedda, R. Abbado, D. Gatti, R. Palumbo, M. Martone, and L. Ronconi. She also 

worked at the G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro from 2004 to 2010.

In 2019, she received the Rimini–Europa International Award, presented by the European Committee of Journalists in Rome and the ANIC 

News Agency in Genoa, in recognition of her achievements as a “Singer and Musician of Outstanding Artistic Caliber.”

She is the artistic director and creator of projects dedicated to vocal chamber music, including the LdC 

International Composition and Performance Competition, focused on chamber vocal music set to texts by 

poets and writers associated with the House Museums of Romagna.

She is also the Artistic Director and Instructor of N.O.T.A. MUSIC – National Opera Theater Academy Music, an academy featuring internationally renowned faculty members 

dedicated to supporting young talents and preparing them for professional artistic careers.
