Neva Belli

Artistic Director of the Gypsy Musical Academy University Center in Turin.

After obtaining her professional diploma from the Carla Pescarmona School of Dramaturgy in 1992, a leading professional institution in Turin, she received comprehensive training in acting, singing and dance, as well as further private training in vocal technique with international teachers. She began her career primarily as an actress.

She soon decided, however, to specialize in the organizational side of show business, focusing on the production of professional shows and on the promotion and coaching of artists, mainly singers, actors and musical theatre performers.

Early experiences. After a period on stage, she specialized in show business organization and show direction. During this period, among her productions and directing projects, she conceived numerous theatre plays, musical comedies and concerts.

In 2001, she worked on the creation of a professional musical theatre company featuring multimedia applications, in partnership with the major company Space Cannon, which created some of the world’s largest artistic lighting installations, including the lighting of the Twin Towers in New York. The project was the musical La Rete di Ulisse, which featured Fabrizio Voghera among its leading performers.

Subsequent professional experiences. In 2004, she founded Ideafix S.r.l., the company that manages the Gypsy Academy and the International University Center Gypsy Musical Academy, through collaboration with important national and international professionals, including some of the most prominent emerging talents from Broadway and London’s West End musical theatre scene.

This led to the creation of a highly cohesive staff that updates its teaching methodologies every year and is committed to continuous improvement, with the aim of constantly developing the skills of its students, who, once graduated, achieve professional success around the world every year.

At the same time, she manages Gypsy Show Production, which specializes in the production of shows touring throughout Italy.

Since then, her work has been entirely dedicated to the artistic and organizational management of the Gypsy Academy, both in the academic field of musical theatre and performing arts. At the same time, she teaches disciplines such as Acting the Song, emotional studies, communication and stage presence, as well as directing and show production.

To date, she has created more than one hundred productions, both at an academic and professional level, across various artistic fields, from musical theatre to major concerts, dance and theatre comedies.

She also directs the Gypsy Agency, which focuses on the professional placement of graduates, and the student Company, whose members have participated in special events such as Italia’s Got Talent, for which Gypsy received Claudio Bisio’s Golden Buzzer in 2019, taking them directly to the final. The Company has also performed in the opening show of the Women’s Volleyball Championship, broadcast live on Rai in the presence of the President of the Italian Republic.
